American Association of University Women (Boulder)

The mission of the Boulder Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) is to advance gender equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, and research. While Boulder AAUW has addressed gender equity issues since 1926, the gender equity problem Boulder AAUW is currently working on is the elimination of the gender pay gap. AAUW’s research shows that because women don’t negotiate for their salaries, they make from $400,000 to over $1,000,000 less than men over a 40- year career. Boulder AAUW is addressing this issue by training women to negotiate for their salaries through the AAUW Start and Work Smart Workshops.

It took me quite a long time to develop a voice, and now that I have it, I am not going to be silent.
